And the Winner is ...

by JoeDubin
As they do every year, Sports Illustrated came out with their Sportsman of the Year earlier this week.  They chose Lebron James for 2012.  So to localize it, we asked on the Wendy's First Quarter on 102.5 The Game this morning, who is your Tennessee Sports Person of the Year?
The first 10 calls we got were all either R.A. Dickey or David Price and rightfully so.  Both are well deserving for obvious reasons.  Then, we started getting a lot more calls on others and it was eye opening.
1)  The Goodlettsville Little League All-Stars.  Captured the hearts of middle Tennessee with their great run through the World Series and winning the U.S. Title.
2) Pat Summitt.  Need we say more.
3) Brandt Snedeker.  Winning the FedEx cup, being on the Ryder Cup team, all of it.
4)  Brian Baker.  Former Hillwood high school tennis player who made a great run at Wimbledon.  He overcame so many injuries and bounced back for what was an incredible story.
5)  Steven Fox.  Golfer from Hendersonville who won the U.S. Amateur Golf title.  With the win, Fox gets to play in the Masters and the U.S. Open in 2013.
6)  James Franklin.  Got a lot of calls for Franklin, who is leading Vandy to new heights in football.
So the winner is.......
All of them.
