Hey Kenny Britt... STOP

by ZachBingham

Over the weekend, Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt had yet another run-in with the law.

We start this story in the state of New Jersey as told by a Kenny Britt spokesperson.

First off, it seems like we always start a ‘Kenny Britt Story’ in the state of New Jersey. You would think by now someone would tell him to never go back there again if he wants to stay out of jail.

Second, the best decision that Kenny Britt made, was to have a spokesperson speak on his behalf.

We digress…

Apparently, Kenny was leaving a dinner cooked by his friends’ parents when he found his friend, who had left earlier, injured outside.

Britt then drove his friend to the hospital and was there with the injured friend’s family for several hours, but was not otherwise involved in the incident, the statement said.

If your friends are getting stabbed outside of a house where you are eating dinner, maybe it’s time to find some new friends.

Britt’s statement goes on to say that he is fully willing to cooperate with police officials and clarified that he was not at a house party.

If you have to clarify that you were eating dinner at a friends’ parents house and not at a house party, maybe it’s time to change your reputation.

Isn’t this the same Britt that was quoted last May, right before getting arrested for an eighth time, "I'll be the first to admit I got caught in some difficult circumstances, and made some bad decisions in my past," Britt told the Tennessean. "But all that changed me as a person, and I learned from it and got stronger from it."

Kenny, what have you shown that makes this statement have one iota of truth?

On the field, Britt has been riddled with problems too.

Reconstructive knee surgery, with complications, on top of a mediocre year, should send a message to the Titans front office.

Britt is in the last year of his contract after signing a 5 year, $9.46 million dollar deal and is set to make 1.3 million in 2013, compared to the $707,820 he pulled in last season.

Kenny needs to realize that the NFL stands for ‘Not For Long’. And even though this time Britt was just helping a friend by taking him to the hospital, he needs to distance himself from old New Jersey friends and start concentrating on his job.

It will extend his football career and shorten his jail record, I guarantee it.

It seems that Britt is participating in the same activities and expecting a different result. From resisting arrest, to eluding police, to even sending out tweets like this from driving school just nine days ago.

These are all bad decisions.

And it's, I'm IN this driving class lmaoooooo 9-5.
