You may not pass go and you may not collect $200.
That is what baseball writers from around the country are saying to the 'Steroid Era'.
Craig Biggio, long time Astro and 3,000+ hitter, came the closest among voters receiving 68.2 percent of the 75 percent needed to ink a 'HOF stamp' at the bottom of his signature.
Next in line was one of the greatest hitting catchers of all-time, Mike Piazza, who received 57.8 percent and then came pitcher Curt Shilling with 38.8.
The Baseball Writers' Association of America gave Barry Bonds just 36.2 percent of the vote, recently acquitted pitcher Roger Clemens 37.6, and former Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa 12.5.
Next year, Braves pitchers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine will find themselves on the ballot for the first time.
